FUel Pressure Test Results...

Well i did a fuel pressure test today with a mechanic's FP guage.. I tested it with the vaccuum hose on and off, and with the vaccum hose on im sitting at like 20 PSI.. With it disconnected it jumps up to 28-29 PSI..That's pretty low right? WHat type of symptoms can that low of FP cause? Playing with the throttle i could only get it up to 30 PSI max pressure.

PS: I just replaced the factory fuel pump with a new walbro 155 LPH

Maybe your regulator then, it should be around 38 with the vacuum off.

that's definatly low!

get an ajustable fuel pressure regulater and see if you can get the fuel pressure up to 38 or 39(at idle with vacume off)

change your fuel filter if you haven't already.

did you loose the power before or after the pump install?

agreed. the filter could be restrictive or the FPR is passing too much volume back to the tank. lightly crimping the return line can help to diagnose it further.

I lost power long before i installed the new pump, and i also replaced the fuel filter. I dont know which one the return line is.
