i noticed that when i get below half a tank and take a turn a little fast it wants to stall and die....well i replaced the fuel tank, pump, pump wires, and filter....i talked to a few mechanics and am going to put in the shop in the middle of march, but does anyone have any suggestions of what else it could be??? i'm thinking of maybe the fuel pump regulator....it doesn't happen when it has a full tank....

mine does the same thing but only when it's cold out........once the cars warm it's fine. Let me know what you find out, and if I figure it out I'll do the same.

Was the replacement tank new? It's not uncommon at all for the baffles in tanks to break, so when you turn, the pickup sucks air. Tanks that have sat in a boneyard are very susceptible to this as well. A new tank obviously should be golden.

Has anyone had an inertia switch go mildly on the outs - enough that power is interrupted during a mildly-G'd turn but it's not enough to actually trip the switch? I'd never officially recommend circumventing a safety device like that (even if for just a test drive) but if you have a spare switch on hand, it might be worth swapping out.

Good luck.
