Fuel Pump Cut-off switch?

yep, I plan on getting that same switch panel, and I wanted to wire in a switch for either the ignition or the fuel pump. I plan on using one for my alarm kill, one for the ignition/fuel, one for an electric fan I want to add, and one for, hmm, I don't know. Maybe I'll do ignition and fuel pump... I know Anderson Ford Motorsport sells a nice kit with four rocker switches built in. I too have a working ashtray door, so I could hide it nor problem.

Yeah, but are you really worried about your passengers? I wouldn't think anyone would be getting in your car who you don't trust with the information. (can you tell I don't have many friends?)

I just wanted to find out what you really meant, because I obviously wanted to try it to make sure that it worked properly.

Heh. I wish I knew what I really meant. Oh, don't let yourself get into the habit of shutting the car off that way either. That's even worse. That goes for ignition switch too, if you do it. The best switch panel I've actually seen is from Painless Performance. They make one real awsome switch, designed for this kind of thing and years of rockering. Very NASA (which doesn't seem to mean the same quality it used to, but you get the idea) I got mine from AutoZone, and whithin a week all the bulbs were burned out. A few days later they started melting, and I found myself frantically bypassing the switches and twisting the bare wires together out on some backroad one night to keep my car running. So, then I got the switches from Anderson Ford Motorsport. They have proven to be up to the task, well over a year without any melting problems, however: the bulbs in them all burned out the first week too. If I had it to do again, I'd have gotten the Painless kit. It doesn't say "musang" on it, and doesn't look quite as "bling bling billet trick" but I know it's the highest quality one out there and it'll last.

Follow the instructions previously given...

Do not splice the pink/black wire using 16-18 gauge wire. There is too much current flowing through the wire and it will toast it.

On 87- 91 cars the fuel pump relay is under the seat, 92 and later cars ,the fuel pump relay is under the Mass air duct on the passenger fender well. Cut the red/black wire going to the fuel pump relay. Splice a 16 or 18 gauge wire into the wire and connect it to one side of the switch. Connect the other side of the switch to the other end of the red/black wire going to the fuel pump relay. When you are done the switch should be in the middle of the spliced red/black wire that goes to and comes from the fuel pump relay.

cant you take a multi-meter and find the power wire to the relay and splicw into the one with 12 volts? Let me know cause Im doing the same thing tomorrow.

I appreciate the help, but I don't have a red/black wire. It is just a solid red. Going by tmoss's diagram, I have the pink/black wire, the tan/green wire, and the orange/blue wire. It's just that the red wire is not red/black. Is that still the wire I splice into, the solid red wire that is?
