Does anyone here have the fuel pump diagram, or the section of the shop manual where it shows how to change one? Instead of paying a **** load of money to get it done at a shop which i never do anyway, my buddy whose done them before said he'd help me. So im gonna get a Walbro 255lph just so i dont have to ever change it again when i do my h/c/i. I'd love a diagram though if possible, thanks.

Michael, does the How-To thread have an article/write-up? I thought it did but I'm too lazy to look.

It's a very academic install - just be careful when working with the retention ring.

Good luck.

It's really pretty straight-foward. If I had a scanner I'd scan my haynes, but to tell you the truth, last time I did the fuel pump, I didn't even use it. There's got to be a write-up either on here or Corral. Good Luck

I just followed the instructions that came with it, and its really not too hard. The only hangup I had was trying to figure out the trick to turn that ring so that it disengages...somebody on here told me what to do I think.

+1

The only pita on the process was to disengage the fuel connectors ( +11 years of no movement ) and to put the tank back was also kinda tedious

this is easy stuff.. you can do it!!
try doing it with as little gas in the tank as possible...makes a huge difference..
gasoline weighs about 8 pounds per gallon..

One piece of advice that I don't know if it's mentioned in the writeup you found (didn't look), but use something brass or wood to turn the retaining ring. One spark and you and the car could be quite crispy.
