Every time I turn the key to the on position the fuel pump fuse in the under dash fuse box blows. I have checked the fuse box, fuel pump, Auto shut off all the way to the steering column. The short is somewhere on the steering column but I can't find it. Do you think it could be the ignition switch ? I don't see anything really apparent like a scorched / skinned wire any where but not sure what to check next. Any ideas would be welcome I am not good at electrical troubleshooting it drives me crazy! lol
Thanks in advance for your help.

Whenever I think of a fuse blowing every single time I think of continuity. It happened to me on my motorcycle when I wired in HID's and I taped two wires together before individually wrapping them.

Is this something that just started happening randomly or did you do an installation or change something and then it began to happen?

i had a similar problem... start the car and shake the harness on the back pass side.... look for sparks/ popping sounds... turned out to be the connector on my charcoal canister... but i was popping the fuse in the engine bay... also will help to pick up a 20A circuit breaker fuse... much better then buying 50 fuses to try to diag the problem...

Start by shaking a harness then put in a fuze and try to start.... do it over and over again.... till you find it.... good luck.
