Just make sure you have someone to help you lower the tank and make sure you put the new pump in the same exact way the old one came out. Pay special attention to how the filter bag thing is suppose to be.

Good luck

when u do it, it is always nice to make sure there is as little gas in the tank as possible.....make the tank a little easier to handle!

In the how-to sticky, David (5spd GT) did a nice write-up on what is involved, parts needed (with part numbers, etc). I would check it out.

Good luck.

On the filler neck there is a 8 or 10 mm bolt remove it before trying to wiggle the tank lose. Here how I did mine:
1.Jack the car up and placed two jach stands on the diff.
2.Then placed the jack under the tank
3.remove the bolts on the straps holding the tank.
4.remove the 8/10mm bolt from filler neck.
5.lower the jack slowly to gain access to the fuel lined.
6.disconect the fuel lines and connectors.
7.lower the tank completely.
8.using a brass punch or screw driver if you don't have one **brass will not cause sparks so be carefull using anything else** remove the lid holding the fuel pump.*it must be twisted off to remove and twisted back on to tighten, you'll see what I mean it you haven't done it before*
9.remove the fuel pump.....have patients to will more then likely be PITA to remove it only comes out one way and install one way....have patients.
10.install by going backwards good luck...
