For the last couple of weeks my car has been hard to start. sometimes it goes right away and others times it takes a few seconds. and a bunch of times it ran the battery dead. actually it did that so much that i have to get a new battery, because i killed it. (see this topic: battery?)
I think this might be a fuel pump issue for a couple of reasons, one being that i don't hear the pump prime until i try to start the car for a few seconds and stop. Second, while i am driving the car i feel the car buck a lil, almost like its missing.
Is there any way of checking the pump. Someone said that i could put a gauge on the fuel rail and turn it over to see if there is pressure. I don't have a gauge so is there another way.
