Fuel pump issues???

well this is the strange problem i started the car pulled it out of my drive way turned it off and did not want to start the second time i have a autometer fuel Pressure gauge it was reading 20 psi i waited about 10 mins during that time i cycled the key about 10 times i tryed hiting the fuel tank and during this whole time i have half of tank of gas i was not geting any fuel pressure after doing all of this for about 15 min it finally stared so then i drove the car for about 2 hours with no problems and i turned it off and did the same thing what to do ?????

you may have a loose connection somewhere,

Well i think it sounds like a fuel pump. Sounds like since your not getting any pressure the pump is fine just the little thing (excuse this but i am not sure of the correct terminology) there is a ball that sits up to hold the pressure in the system. I am sure someone here knows more of how to explain it. But it sounds like a new fuel pump is need thats what mine is doing right now in my 95 Vert

well i dont know what to do if the pump was no good i would not be able to drive around correct?? i am going to try to replace the fuel filter?? any other suggestions??
