Fuel pump lock ring...87-93 = 94-95?

Unfortunately not. Ford discontinued it & the one SPI made for a bit is gone now as well. Another one of those "it'd be nice to have around, but too low demand" type parts.

So fox's are in more demand than sn95s? Since im assuming 96 and 97 are the same as 94-95?

What do u guys think i should do? Take a wire wheel to mine to get rid of as much rust as possible?

I feel ya on this one. I need to replace mine since the o ring has gone missing and fuel leaks sometimes, but it is one of those parts that is so hard to find. I am gonna stop by a plumbing shop today or tomorrow and see if they have something that will work.

Thats not necessarily the problem. The aftermarket fuel tank that is offered for 84-97 uses the Fox style 3 tab lock ring. The stock 94-97 is 4 tab. Thats the only reason the 3 tab is still around.

Why Ford changed the design of a simple lock ring when the fuel tank dimensions are the same as prior years is a mystery to me.

ahhhh didnt know this. Thanks man. :nice:

What do I think? Just don't bend/break it taking it off. :p

Yea well unfortunately its taken a beating from taking it off twice with a screwdriver/hammer trying to spin it loose. It really needs some reinforcements welded onto it.
