I was coming home tonight and getting on the Interstate I nailed the gas only to have the car go kaput. I thought at first I'd hit the rev limiter but it never came back. I stopped and tried to start but it wouldn't fire up. I then turned the key off and when I cranked it this time it fired right up. I got going again and as I would give it some gas it would shut down. I pulled over again and it took a few tries to get it running. After that I had no problems.

Would the fuel pump cause it to shut down without running rough? Just running one second and nothing the next?

I'm also wondering if maybe the CCRM I bought may be bad. Do those relays have intermittent problems or do they go out once and for all?

Have you tried checking to see if your MAF came dislodged or disconnected etc??? this can cause all those problems.

it will idle just fine with no MAF, just run like crap. i would say the fuel pump. my blazer had intermittant problems with the fuel when the pump went out.

PCM uses cam sensor to know when to fire injectors,if it goes bad then PCM will fire injectors in continuous mode .it would be hard to start but would run decent. You problem sounds like either lost fuel pressure or maybe something like a bug got on MAF hot wire.

Anyone have a relay go bad? I'm thinking they would be all out too...not intermittent.
