I was just wondering why all of you guys run the svt focus pump? Does anyone run the cobra duel pump like on the 03. Ive read ton of articles and they run the cobra pump.

the focus pump is good for 450 hp and under cars. the cobra tank is expensive ($900) and really isnt needed for most cars.

i have a focus pump in my car now. it was a direct drop in pump and greatly outflows the stock pump.

i also have a 03 cobra tank with dual GT supercar pumps in it. i will be installing it along with the new engine. the new fuel setup will let me easily put down over 600 to the rear wheels without a BAP.

you can run just the cobra pumps in a stock gt tank but most would not recomend it.

I just installed one in my gt tank, I had to remove the housing that held my stock pump, but it seems to work fine. A couple places told me not to run the car below an 8th of a tank because there isn't any baffles and it could starve for fuel under heavy acceleration. I don't drive the the car that often if that's the only problem with running one it always has plenty of fuel in it. Only put 3000 miles on it in the last 2 years.

Do the Cobra tank and pumps. The SVT doesnt go very far when you start making big power. Im getting ready to upgrade to Cobra tank and pumps. The main reason why people have the SVT pump is because 90% of us have the mongoose kit and the other 10% just used what the other 90% have. lol

sent pm basicaly the same reason SaleenGT2001 said. With his setup you could go above and beyond what any street car would need!

fwiw, i have the focus pump and im at max duty cycle @ 5500 rpms, then I see a nastly lean spike in my A/F.

Im making > 400 hp btw, and I am saving for the cobra tank/pumps.
