I filled my car up today and afterwords it wouldnt start! i noticed when i started it earlier it cranked for longer than usual. Anyway i have no fuel at the rail as i have pressed down the shrader valve with the key on and didnt get any gas. No codes are showing (i have an OBDII reader) and i cant here the pump in the tank. banged on the tank and couldnt get it to kick the pump on. Anyway im wondering how to test the pump? I noticed when i turn the key on i here some clicking from a box in the passenger side fenderwell no idea what it is or why i here clicks? just had a fender put on that side so i wonder if they could have messed somthing up there? but i do know it has cranked for longer than it should for quite some time! also it has 230k miles or so on the original pump! Like i said i need to know how to test it and where the relay is located (i have no owners manual and box isnt labeled!) Also any tricks to dropping tank? its unfortunately full of gas!! do i have to drop the exhaust? also parts store claims there are two pumps one with a brass inlet and one with plastic? which one should it be? (96 gt) sorry for all the questions i just had a horrible day and finaly got the car back home (80 *@(&# miles from home and on my way to night school when it screwed up!)
Thanks for any help it would be much appreceated!!
