Im thinkin of putting a 4r70w in my car. Mostly because they are pretty strong from the factory and they have overdrive, which will be nice on the street. My car now has the factory T5 in it, but I want to go auto just for the drag racing aspect. Much more consistent, dont have to worry about missing gears, and they are just plain faster alot of times. No matter what trans I use it will most likely have a full manual VB anyway so thats not a big deal, but my question is, if I go with a full manual VB do I need any electronics? I would think I need something for OD and Converter lock up but do I need a controller box just for that or just splice a couple wires? Basically just tell me what I need to put this thing in my car with a full manual VB.
