'84 SVO
I did a serch and couldnt find anything simaler to my problem...
I was driveing my car home from work, started getting dark so I turned the head lights on, then the tach went dead, dash lights were fine for a few seconds, then they got real dim, the head lights dimed, and the car started to act like it was going to die. When I got moveing it wasnt bad, still no tach till it got to about 2500 RPM. Same goes when I use the turn signals I noticed with the head lights off. Turn ither on and the tach goes straithg to the bottom, shut them off and it comes back up.
What could be causeing this, and what should I check, some things would be nice as I have to drive this thing tomarrow night from work....
We had the alternator checked twice, was "Really Good," according to the AutoZone manager both times, the regulator is new, and all new wiering from the alt to the regulator and starter relay.
I'm just lost here, electrical systems are not my perticular area of expertiece...
