Hey guys,

Does anyone have a G-Tech or similar performance measuring device? I've got a Beltronics FX1 accelerometer. It measures, acceleration, braking, turning Gs, etc. It's a cool little device. My buddy took it to the track and the times on the device were only off by .01-.03 (based on multiple runs). That's pretty good for a cheap performance tool (paid $120 5 years ago)! I know these tools are not 100% accurate, but they are a neat toys and give you a good idea of where you'd stand for 1/4 miles times, 0-60 etc.

Please note that I use a closed down street on private property that is not accessible to anyone else. I don't race on public roads, and this is no way a street racing thread.

The best 0-60 stat for the Mustang is 5.67s. Pretty terrible, but I can't seem to hook up! The best 60ft time I got was a 2.15. Best 1/8 mile was like a 9.45@77mph or so. Pretty crappy. Hopefully I can manage some better times when I hit a proper drag strip come April/May.

My '05 Impreza RS though (winter car), got good times! I tested it out last night with a buddy since we were bored . Best 0-60 was 7.60s and 1/8 mile was 10.03@69 with a 1/4 mile of 15.63@85.64. Pretty decent for a 170hp 4 banger.

Does anyone else have one of these things, or have tried one? If you do, post up your stats.

I've played around with an older G-tech before, but never tried to verify it at the track. I took it as just for amusement and based everything on 1/4 mile results.

0-60 times can be calculated based on your time slip showing the 60' 330' and 1/8th mile times. You can easily find excel spreadsheets doing a google search, and I think it is pretty accurate.

Based on the time slip calculation, the best 0-60mph time for my 97 GT is 5.57 seconds. But that is with normal track conditions... I bet I've gone a bit faster in cold fall air and nice roads instead of the greasy track.

The best 0-60 mph time for the 88 mustang is 3.71 seconds.

I never realized you could calculate 0-60 times using the 330ft times and the 1/8 mile. Pretty cool - I'll have to Google that.

Your '88 is flying!

Those are pretty good times!

I think my stiff rear springs are hurting my launches. The best I've gotten is a 2.15, but I regularly hit 2.2s
