Well so far not so good. A cat back doesnt really give you any hp, maybe 5 at the most. The cold air intake has proved to be a pointless mod. Your better off sticking a k&n in your stock air box and taking off the silencer. Other then that get yourself some Lt's, a mid pipe, 4.10 gears, and a short shifter if your a manual. If your planning on getting blown then get the 3.73's instead of the 4.10's. Those are just your basic mods, you can also get into heads, cams and many other things. Good luck...

2v pretty much suck NA without heads and cams. I had every bolt on imaginable on my stock motor and only made 275rwhp, and that was a couple more than anyone else I had seen. My biggest gains were with the C&L inlet tube, mass air, plenum, and t-body, and of coarse long tubes.

what kinda stuff did u have Joe, as far s bolt on stuff, and also, what kind of longtubes did u get, bbk or the mac's? When u do a mass air, do u have to get bigger injectors, or is that when u get a bigger t-body?

Mods in my sig are the same I had with the stock block minust 3 angle valve job and cams. You don't have to replace your injectors. I had 19s with the 330 at the wheels.

I'm not sure but I would guess standard? The sheet says nothing about correction, just actual horsepower. I had it tuned at Strictly Performance with a WinPep Dynojet.

ok just remove the bolt that holds the air filter box in place. Lift the box up and pull it out.. bolt the bolt back in place and there you have it..

This was a popular mod on 5.0s, but when the '99 model came out, I heard that pulling the silencer actually hurt breathing a bit.

Anybody checked this on a dyno?

Just save money for a while and get blown! I spent lots of $$$ on bolts ons and ended up taken them off when I got my KB supercharger.

I have 4.10s, and I think they are too short for a daily driver. I am in 4th before I know it. They are good for the track (I guess), but when I have the money after the head swap, I'm going to drop down to 3.73s.

My $.02 on gears. Take it for what it's worth.
