Gas fumes

When my tank is full the garage fills with gas fumes. It only happens when full and the smell is from the rear of the car NOT under the hood. I checked all connectors on the top of the tank and they seam good. I replaced the filler- to- tank donut and it’s a tight seal.

What am I missing?

I’ve seen people eliminate the charcoal canister and just let the line vent to the air around you. In this case, may be your garage. Full tank.... more pressure..... more fumes.

The gas tank is supposed to be a closed system, vapor line runs from fuel tank to the the canister and then to the intake. You need to look for the line from the valve on top of the tank, some one likely has cut it off back by the tank or removed it from the valve on top.
