When replacing the seal between the gas tank and the filler tube, does anyone know if you need to drop or lower the gas tank any. Or can you just unbolt the filler tube and pull it straight out to replace the seal.
The last one I did was on a 98 GT and we dropped the tank a little bit. I think I have read of folks not doing that, but I did not want to take a chance on tearing the new grommet.
me too. i filled my car up to the top before i hit the dyno. went in to pay, came outside and noticed a small puddle. ****!!! it was a good thing i was going to the dyno, LOL first time i ever filled it to the top.
good time to upgrade the pump to a bigger one. thats my plan this spring
