We will be dropping the tank this weekend, bad gas in it. We we're planning on taking out the fuel sending unit, in order to have access into the tank. But we have'nt found anybody that sells the gaskets. We called Ford, no dice they don't carry them anymore. None on ebay. Do you guys have any idea? Or is there even a gasket on the fuel sending unit? We're assuming there is. The only other part that we should have to remove is the filler neck connection, hopefully it's good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The hole where the fuel goes in is pretty substantial cause the metal pipe comes out and you can gain access to the inside with out messing with the sender.

tank sender seal

Telephone this place and get a brand new tank seal for your sending unit. You will have to phone their research office to get the correct part number then contact the sales staff. I purchased one several months ago for a couple dollars and had it within days.

78 Charlie: This part number, F6TZ-9B076-AA what is that? When the Ford dealer checked it, it showed up as a seal for a 96 Ford truck, except he did'nt know what seal. If it fits our II's, that's all that matters.

This part number I can get, E1AZ-9072-B $9.03. Except it cost $13.00. If this is the o-ring for the fuel sending unit, I think we'll go with one from a hardware store like previously mentioned.

QUOTE: I got 2 of my gaskets from Ford last year.
part numbers: E1AZ-9072-B $9.03
F6TZ-9B076-AA $3.56

Hope that helps.
