Another thing. Ford Racing gears are less liekly to cause problems. THey are produced with much tighter margins of error. I spend the extra money and forked over $330 for gears, install kit, and trak lok rebuild from www.buyfordracing.com.

im pretty sure motive makes ford racing gears

so you are basically paying more money for the same gears.

either way dont get richmond...they are too noisey

Do the research.. if you got FRPP gears and have a decent tool set you can do your own gears... I wish I had... it would have saved me a TON of headaches...

I know a good place to get them put in I'm just going to let them do it because I know they know what they are doing. Do I need to get the install kit with axle bearings and seals?

I thought the same thing... I wouldn't let anyone else do this for me... Not even if it was free... That is due to the pain I felt (and continue to feel when going excessively fast)...

It only makes sense to replace everything while the rear end is torn apart.

FWIW - Richmond gears are awesome. They are pre-fit on a computerized machine and the pinion depth and shim values engraved on the gears. This makes setting them up super easy if you have the pinion depth indicator. Also, Ratech makes a inexpensive installation kit.
