Gear oil?

Im changing the oil in my rear and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions as to what type of oil and what weight to put in. Also what type of friction modifier to get.

Horsepower TV did a bit on Royal Purple. They changed the diff, tranny, and motor oil on a stock SS Camaro, and it gained 10 HP at the wheels. So I would be tempted to try Royal Purple.

Any good synthetic will add that hp. I personally use Redline 75W90. It also has friction modifier in it so you don't have to add it separately

No Syntehetic if you have an Auburn

If you have an Auburn rear, they suggest NOT to use synthetic.

i've used royal purple and redline and liked both of them.

any quality syn should be fine. i like to run modifier, even with the syn fluid.
