Currently the car has 3.73's.

Those are a chore and a half to drive.

I'm not able to get full boost because the tires just spin spin spin!!!!!

I can be going 50 drop a gear and punch it spin.

Tomorrow my posi is getting rebuilt and the 3.73's are comming out but I'm unsure what to replace them.

My bud who owns the dif shop recomended 3.08 since the car has soo much low end torque and just gets nasty once under boost.

I'm thinking 3.27's.

What is everyones recomendation?

Car is the 89' in sig if that helps give an idea what kind of power we're dealing with.

maybe 3.27's thats still pretty close to 3.73 tho and if u can spin ur tires at 50 maybe u want 3.08 dont take my advise cause im not to smart at this yet but just my opinion, actully 3.27 isnt that close, i think maybe if u want to play it safe go with 3.08 if u want to still have alot of fun and spin tires sometimes, go with 3.27 again dont just take my advise its just an opinion really

I vote 3.27's too.

You could slap in some 4.30's though. .

suspension is not tires are.

I think you guys are right 3.27's it is.

I haven't owned the car too long the way it sits saturday to be exact was the first time I drove it.

Still haven't decided what I'm going to do witht he suspension.

I think my drag racing days are over and autoX is about to begin.

So a torque arm, pan hard rod, and global west lower arms.

i would say 355s if you gonna autox it your gonna want the extra oomph outta the turns after slowing down when the boost drops by then your suspension should be able to hold it just my .02 by the way how much boost are you running

Well did the 3.27 and found my posi was wasted pretty bad. LOL

Now it grabs so nice and pulls good. I might go up to 3.55's once I do the suspension work but for now it's a strong combo.

im running 373's with a blown car but since i have taller tires in the back it kills it to almost 355's. tire height can make a big dif.

Go with the 3.08

I wiil go with the 3.08 gear, especially if your car is supercharged. I had that hard decision also with my Blown(Paxton @14 psi) and with my Tranny that has a .73 5th gear, the 3.08 gear will let my engine last a little more especially with low revs at 80-85 to keep up with traffic and decent revs at higher speeds.

With the 3.08 gear and a blower or even a high horsepower N/A car you will see 110 mph easy and quickly in 3rd gear and still have 2 more gears to go! I have street raced stangs with 3.73's, 4:10, 4:30's and even this nut who had 4:56's on the street and caught them. They take off quickly, but with a high powered car and less gear, they are easily caught and passed because they run out of gear!

People put down the 3.08 gear too much, but if your ride is high powered (350+ rear wheel horsepower) this is one of the best gears.

Rememeber:

MORE ENGINE POWER AND TOURQUE= LESS GEAR NEEDED (LOWER NUMERICALLY)
LESS ENGINE POWER AND TOURQUE= MORE GEAR NEEDED (HIGHER NUMERICALLY! TO MOVE YOUR CAR
