Can I change the gears in my 93 lx 4cly? I have 3.73's now. I want to put in 4.10's. How hard is this? Will I have to change myspeedometer gear to? Also I have a full razzi body kit, I hit a verry large animal and broke the side off my front air dam. Does anyone know where I can get one from beside's razzi? They want a complete fortune for one!!!!!!!!!!!! A used one will be ok if any one has one. Thank's jonafer23

Your speedo will be off but not your tach rpm is rpm. Your cruise rpm will increase 300 rpm per change of gears 3.55 to 3.73 and 3.73 to 4.11. It makes a huge difference in off the line performance.

Ok the car is an auto with 373 gears. How hard is it to change the gears myself? I have have complete mechanical skills with my car. But I have never don a rearend gear change. Any one know about the front razzi air dam. I NEED ONE !!!!! Thank's jonafer.

But hold your 2.3 liter, what about shipping? To me it all cost $305! And have you seen these thing's,there plastic and just weigh 5 pounds. Just my thought's But fiberglass ones are cheaper. Thank's jonafer

ok next question, Why different gears for the different transmissions. So many like the 3.73:1 with a T5 (which I plan to do) are the 3.27 better for street/strip?

The autos coudn't get out of there own way with out the 3:73s :D

As for that rear gear swap I would read up on it first, I think there is a little skill envolved in doing it. I think you need to make sure the angles are degreed right like the pinion angle. Those 4:10s would probly make for some fun driving once its done, Good Lock.

rather than mess with swapping gears, why dont you swap the auto for a 5 speed. Thats a much bigger improvent then gears cause then you get the 3.73 auto rear with the better manual transmission 1st gear. Thats what i did and Wow what a difference it makes.

Pinion angle is not adjustable with the stock control arms. No need to worry about that. It's just a unbolt/bolt back together deal.

Why didn't I think of this :bang:

The stick will be a whole lot more fun to drive also :)

Ok so if I chnge my trans what do I do with the wiring from the computer? Will I need to change the computer also? Now what if I change the gears and the trans? Will this pick my slow ass up and go? What trans will work beside's the 93 mustang? Will my driveshaft work? Thank's jonafer

you dont have to do anything to the computer, only a few wire for the safety switch to mess with. VERY easy wiring. As for what tranny.. Any 4 cyl 5 speed mustang tranny will work. Turbocoupe trannys will work to. As for the driveshaft.. you need to use the 5 speed shaft, its longer. Also you will need pedals, and crossmember.
