One day I decided to install a MAC pro chamber O/R in my car myself. I figured it would be easy enough, but it turned out I had no reason to be under there assembling pipes and whatnot. Some of you may know that on the passanger side, one header bolt is extremely hard to access (2001). I broke it, oops. I still put the stupid thing on anyway. It now leaks out of the bottom of the header a little. So my question is...

can any damage happen to the engine or anything expensive, because of an exhaust leak, ie back pressure or something. I have no idea.

The passenger side is confusing, but 100% acessable with a swivle socket and extensions. I have it down to a routine to have both bolts off the collector within a minute or two of being under the car, lol.

I had a real bad leak when I put my X pipe on, cause the flange gasket was shot... I didnt want to drive it because I was scared it might mess something up. I still have a slight leak on the drivers side, but its nothing too bad.

How bad does it leak? Does it tick really loud, or just hardly? Id find another bolt and tighten it up asap... or make sure its not the flange gasket that is your problem.

the wierd thing is, is that the drivers side is leaking. Its not really ticking, it is just sputtering some air. Its not loud just obvious, and I dont know if the broken bolt side is leaking or not.

Haha, what is up with this prob. Mine had a small ex. leak too. Its the steel flange hitting those dowels thats not letting you tighten the pipe to the header all the way.
