I've been looking to save some weight with a new battery, this Genesis G26EP looks decent, seems to have more CCA than the Odyssey 680 that I've seen a lot on here go with and has a larger reserve. Anyone using it? Comes in at about 22 lbs.

Did you move the battery mount to the trunk?

Optima Red Top weighs 39 pounds so it is significantly less weight... Does not look as cool though IMHO.

I swear by my YellowTop Optima. My car sat in my garage since november. And started my car the first time 2 days ago without any probrem.
Can't beat that

Optima wins the coolness factor. Maybe I can wrap it in some cool carbon fiber. Not going to relocate the battery, just going for a lighter one.

Here's some good information on different types of batteries including weights. http://www.stealth316.com/2-dynabatt.htm

Scroll down to 'Other SLA batteries.'
