Shifter is available with your choice of shift knob shaft, one with the OEM 12 MM threads and one with 3/8-16 standard threads for most retro aftermarket plastic shift balls. - Directly from MGW's site.

So yeah. You want the 12 MM thread. I opted for the classic shifter assembly myself. But no matter what I garentee you will enjoy the new shifter.

Meh. I'm not sure about that. Just don't order the shift stops, as our transmition has built in shift stops. I do know its short enough. I can powershift 1-2 easily and I can manage the 2-3 now sometimes. Before that was a impossiblity. When I get prothane mounts for the motor and trans I think I'll be able to powershift all the way through 4th. We shall see though. If that doesn't work. Time for a new clutch and aftermarket TOB anywayz.
