I want to change my power steering to a manual rack. I also am going to put the 5.0 brake upgrade, camber plates and replace all the front bushings. I was wondering what I need to do for the pullies since im going to get rid of the power steering pump?

On a 5.0 theres a couple kits that use the tensioner as an idler to maintain the serp belt. Or a dozen country boy ways to do it. I just makd a home made idler bracket and used a spare idler for the belt, in the former ps pump location.

Have not done this to a 2.3, but the idea is the same.

There should be some 2.3 non ps accessory bracket setups in junkyards, because many of the early Mustangs with manual steering were 2.3 cars. They are probably v belt setups though.

If you can do 'minor' fabrication, you can mimic my setup.

www.cardomain.com/id/96mustang460cid

Go to the 91 Mustang and look on the 1st and 2nd pages.

Basically, I moved the alternator where the power steering used to be. I done this by making a simple bracket and adjuster.

Have a good day!

you might want to think twice before going with a manual rack.....you might need the ability to turn the wheel real quick one day....i have thought about doing this many times my self...and decided the 5hp gain was not worth the effort.
