getting the 884cyl coupe ready for the road 86GT and 884cyl interchange

fixin up my 88 4cyl coupe for a beater/driving to school once a week 2 hours away. I put it on the hoist today where I work and checked it out for a safety and it need some work lol. heres my list of what it needs

front rotors
front pads
front calipers
rear drums
rear shoes
rear brake kombi kit
brake line from passenger to axle and across axle
front ball joints
inner and outer tierods and inner rod boots
front tires (got some at home)
U-joint at the front of the shaft (going to do both while I am at it)

That is what I am going to fix but it really needs way more like
a few holes in floor fixed
tail pipe is gone from the back of the muffler (just going to use a turn down)
some holes in the body
and probly a bunch of other crap but it will be me doing the safety and all I want it to do is start, steer and stop

But I have some parts that are like new I could use from a 86 GT
I have inner and outer tie rods with the boots. They will work (same part #'s)
spindles with newer ball joints (ball joints are the same part#)
rotors (same part #)
I was just not sure if the spindles are the same as the 88 4cyl but I would think so since the rotors, tierods and ball joints are all the same.

oh the gas tank is new and the lines were replaced with bubber. I might swap the seats out for some old lx seats because the seats are out of a 86GT and in nice shape and I would hate to ruin them.

so if all the good used parts are going to work all I will have to buy is
front pads, but the ones on it are about 50% but if I am doing all the brakes I mite aswell do pads.
front calipers
rear drums, shoes, kombi kit, wheel cylinders

once I do all this I will do an alignment since I am the only quy at work that does them...(other than the boss)


SO Any one know if 86 sindles are the same as 87-93 4cyl's
