+1 They are the new-age glass packs. Sound better on our stangs, too, IMO.

If you want to go cheap (less expensive) then as suggested the bullit style "Cherry Bombs" from a local parts house is the answer. 2.25" is the stock size but for the length you'll have to get underneath and measure for that. If extra loud is what you want do what some did in the day, install them backwards, by that I mean when you look into the muffler you'll see little openings all around it's inside diameter, they will be pointed in a direction towards what should be the inlet side, point them the other way and the exhaust just flows by them rather than being caught and forced into the packing.

You will sound like no other mustang, oh and also the interior drone was very low until you got on it.....

I put straight pipes turned out to the side on mine with the stock midpipe and headers. Just went to a muffler shop and had them bend me two pipes to a right angle for $20, then I welded tips and the connectors on them. At idle it sounds like real muscle car very aggressive rumble. When you punch it to >3000rpms is when it really shines sounds crazy. But the highway drone is a bit much at times. This is a great loud+cheap set up.

i have a MustangTuning o/r x-pipe on my car with some sort of Flowmasters, they were on my car when i bought it. im guessing that they are the 40 series, but they are weld in, not the entire cat-back. i have heard that my cars sounds the best in my area, and i always get people to turn their heads when i go through a parking lot, or pass them on the freeway plus the midpipe made the car seem to pull better in overdrive

Did you pick up a few pieces of pipe and clamps and do it yourself?

Do you have a sound clip?

I had a local muffler shop cut off the flows and weld in two new pipes for like $30. The guy tried to say he told me $30 each, but i wasn't gonna let him try to rip me off. He assumed since I'm 17 I don't know what's goin on.

I don't have a video camera or know how to make sound clips.

Do you have a cellular device? Most up-to-date cell phones record videos AND sound clips.
