Global West Subframe Connectors - Request For Pics And Install Tips

Hello,

Does anyone have any pics of Global West subframe connectors installed on a Fox Body? Or install tips?

I purchased part numbers 912 and 920 for my 88 Fox hatch, and I'm going to install/weld them myself.

The instructions they sent, seem to be fair, at best, in my opinion. They explain, in words, how to do the install, but they only have a few sketches, and no photos, so it would be very helpful if anyone has any pics or install tips.

In particular, it would be helpful to see how they are oriented, and exactly where they are welded at each end.

I've looked everywhere I can think of, but haven't had much luck.

I found some pics of them installed on a 2000 vert, but that seems different, because the 99-04 GW sfcs have different (rear?) end pieces.

However, I did already have that pick, from one of my many thread searches. It's a nice pic, and the only pic of a Global West sfc on a Fox that I've been able to find.

If you have the time to provide closer-up pics of the rear end of the connector, and the front end of the connector, that would be helpful.

Did the sfcs make a big difference? Do you have any suspension mods?

I have the Ranger/Mark VII 5-lug conversion. I have 18x9 rims in the back, with 5.95" backspacing, with 265/35/18 BFG tires, and my driver side rear tire rubs occasionally on the inner fender well. From the mark made by the rubbing, it's obvious it's mostly because of spring deflection, because the mark is way above the level of the tire.

I have a stock suspension, and I don't think the shocks have ever been replaced, so I've got MM LCAs, H&R race springs, and Bilstein HD shocks, which I hope will minimize the spring deflection. If that fails, I may also get a stiffer rear sway bar. I also don't have the quad shocks on right now, but I realized (duh!) that I can flip the quad shocks and make them fit. So I've got new quad shocks, which will also be installed.

But before I install the stiffer suspension, I decided to get sfcs, so the frame won't get bent.
