Going to buy an 03/04 Cobra this summer

I am looking to spend 35000 canadian (around 28000-29000 American) and pick it up somewhere in America, since the canadian dollar is so high and there is more of a car market in America I can get it for much cheaper and will be much easier to find a very decent one with low miles on it.

Just wondering about border cost when I attempt to bring it back to Canada, if anyone knows it would be much appreciated. Or any other costs that would be affiliated with that.

you will have to pay duty, and gst i think, as well as you will have to get a national safety and a provincial safety done to the car...i'm in the same boat lol, live in sk, and wanna buy a 03/04 cobra in the spring do you plan on driving it back...or gettin it shipped? cuz i dunno how u would licence it to drive it back either

getting it shipped back to winnipeg actually, and all I need for a Canadian saftey for it is day time running lights I belive, the module for it is around 100 bucks. I think the wiring is already in place for it.

correction...u will need to pay pst and gst...and whatever duty they have on cars..and yes daytime running lights are 'all u will need' however there could be some factory defaults(quite common unbelievably) that will need to be fixed before u actually pass a safety, those are all the hidden expenses i've found...a friend of my dad jus bought a bmw X5 off of e-bay...i'm gunna talk to him see what he had to pay for everything...then i'll get back to u!

yea i can't get ahold of this guy....but i only live bout 30km from the us border so sometime here i'm just gunna drive down there and ask them about all these expenses...get back to u before the summer forsure!!lol
