Going to remove vinyl top, got any tips?

I'm going to remove my black vinyl top on my 67 coupe so I can get the whole car primered. I was wondering if anybody has any tips on doing this? Is there a certain way I need to reomve the top? What kind of adhesive remover should I use? What holes need to be filled in the body? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

NOOOO DONT GET RID OF THE TOP! Ok.....I am biased...but I have had some experiance with them. Honestly, it has always worked best to pull it off using a putty knife and lots of pulling. As far as the leftover adhesive, just use a circular sander. Will get rid of adhesive, paint and rust all at one time.

Vinyl topped coupes are cool, but If you insist then using a DA sander with lots of paper is the best option for adhesive removal.
