Going to the Drags Tonight!!!

So this afternoon my Father and I are going to drive up to the dragstrip in Southern Oregon (Medford Speedway). Couple of questions: I have really crappy tires on the rear (Sumitomo's) and was wondering if it would be to my benefit to drop the air pressure in them tonight? If so how much? I have never been to this track but does anyone know if I will be required to have a helmet? Anyways I hope everything goes well tonight and nothing breaks... This will only be my second time at the drags, and it has been several years since the last time so I wouldnt expect any great times. I will be extremely happy if I drop down into 13's but I will let you guys know how it goes.
