So next Saturday I'm going to the drag strip in Bakersfield. Last time I went was a year ago, when the car was BONE stock. I ran a 14.32 on stock tires. Now I have all the goodies in my sig . Any guesses on 1/4 mile times? I'm thinking mid 12's (actually hoping). I hope my transmission/rear end hold too LOL. I have the stock clutch, rear end, and tranny with almost 80k miles on the car . Wish me luck!

yea id say mid 12s are a good guess. low 12s can be obtained too but that would require a harder launch and i dont know if thats such a good idea on a stock rear end.

Hard to say actually. It just depends how hard you are launching on those DRs without putting a hurt on the rear end.

As for my guess--I'll say a 12.94 since you haven't been in a while and it's always best to not expect too great of a time

Depending on how many passes you make, 13.xx's up front like shake down pass style, then some higher 12's after a few passes, and lower 12's too. Go buy a rose sprayer and fill it with some water/methanol, spray it on your intercooler and pipes (cold side of the blower is ok, but not on the gear box cuz if you get that belt wet it'll slip ALOT) between runs; this will help lower your IAT's so you don't get ANY heatsoak. And yeah, heatsoak on a A/A setup is harder to do, but if you're making hot laps then yeah, cool it off

Your rear end will brake far long before the transmission. I say go for broke, literally, and just try and stick the take off and let her rip Rear end parts are pretty cheap really.

60 foot times are key. If you can run 1.8 or better. 1/4 Mile ET 12.6

With a good launch and soild driving, I'd guess you will be anywhere from 12.4 to 12.6; let us know how it goes and good luck!

Honestly, I'll be super happy to get into the 12's. What RPM should I launch at with those DR's? I'm thinking nothing over 4k, to keep my stock rear end together.
