So, after reading alot on the web, seems the safest thing to do is purchase a Ford Performance shortblock and build it up with Edelbroch Top end (heads, cam, intake etc.,). Looking to build a 351W, an engine i've always wanted in high school. Now I have my own high school son and I cant think of a better way to spend time and give him my high school car (68 California special) which he can enjoy hopefully years after I'm gone.

Anyway, looking into known quality builders I came accross Coast Performance with their street fighter series. Noticed their shortblocks are less expensive than Ford Performance. What do you think? Good marriage between Coast Performance and Edelbroch? Kinda doing my homework and would like your opinions.

thank you kindly

Hi,
Check Fordstrokers dot com. Good stuff! They can add a custom cam to really "sing" with those heads too.

you should also look at DSS Racing. I am not sure where you are but something to consider in picking one of these companies is shipping...

Talk to Rick at RNH Performance. He is a Site sponsor here and is well know for building great engines. Rick_91GT is his user name.
