the "super streeter" from p.a. is cheap, and pretty solid for a mild engine.
i used one of their "comp" c4's with a manual vb, and loved it. this was behind a 300rwhp or so 302, and then a well over 500rwhp combo, then back to a ~330 rwhp setup.....always changing. tranny never skipped a beat!
expect a GOOD converter to run an additional 500-600 for a c4, more for a nitrous, or purely race converter.
This is my 1st post. I have had quite a few C-4s and if you get one spend the extra $'s and go with the PA comp or super comp with the brake or without. It's pricey, but it comes with a lifetime warrenty and the super comp is rated to 1000hp. My bro has one and has no problems at all out of it and had it for several years.

Don't know what your lookin to spend but the super comp with the brake is $2499 on PA's site but you can find it for $2000. Then you have to have a convertor and bell housing and cooler. Lookin at about $3000 going that route. Will a be little cheaper going with the comp. The only catch I know of is you have to ship it back to PA for work to be done and you have to pay the shipping to and from, but they are good trannys. My bro has the super comp and have a few other cars with their c-4's and powerglides and no one has any problems at all with them.
