BUYING THIS COBRA ? PICS !

1999 Ford Mustang Cobra 4.6liter 32valve coupe. It is #1193 of 4040 and has a build date of 04/01/1999. The factory update, fix has been done. The first year for the IRS and Traction control. It is an amazing looking vehicle, and it sounds incredible going down the road. It is in excellent shape all of the way around, inside and out. It has a clear title and a clear Carfax report. I am the 4th owner, I bought it off my father who was the third owner. I drive it daily to work about a mile and around town, as well as to car shows. It has been properly maintained and meticulously kept inside and out. It is a non-smoker car. You can't get any sharper than Black, and the interior looks as close to new as you can find. It has been my baby for the past year and a half and I take great pride in it. It sounds so mean and intimidating while looking sleek and mysterious. It has been adult driven.

It has a very strong list of mods all of which have been done within the past two years: Cobra R Hood, 2001 Cobra rear bumper cover with the lettering "Cobra" on it, Eibach Lowering springs, Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates,Tokico Illumina adjustable front shocks, QA-1 rear 12 way adjustable shocks, 4:10 Ford Racing gears, Steeda Triax shifter, Sean Hyland high performance rims, 17x9 fronts,17x10 rears, Nitto 555 extreme tires 245/45/17 front, 285/40/17 rear(Z rated), Brembo slotted front rotors with green stuff brakes front, new stock rotors rear with Hawk HPS pads, Densecharger True Cold Air intake, Bassani off road catless X-pipe, Borla cat back exhaust, window tinting and the Rear spoiler moved back two inches

I have most all of the documentation for everthing. All of the service has been maintained and is in proper working order for the age and milage of the car. I have all of the paper work including all of the manuals, window sticker, SVT certificate, Original paper plate from purchase, and dealer info. I have some of the stock parts as well to go with it.

Nice set of mods which saves you the trouble and expense of modding yourself, but also means the car has probably not been babied in terms of the way it was driven. Looks like it's been well taken care of though. I think 15 is a decent deal if it has not been abused. You could probably find one with a less risky past, but then you probably wouldn't get all those nice mods.

Thanks for all the great advice guys its very helpful in making a decision. I have been talking to the seller the car has had 3 owners that i can tell first was a women who had most of these mods done in 2002 with documentation , 2nd was current owners father . I agree there is a risk that the car was abused since it comes with an array of mods but its been adult owned and operated so I doubt it was if at all extensive. Im gonna do some more thinking and see if I can work out a deal with seller for 14.5k

Can anybody give me some tip to tell if this cobra has been abused .. I am flying to indiana to look at it next week and if all goes well I will be driving it back to virginia.

I paid 16 for my 99 with the same mods and it had 67k miles so Id say 15 is where it will sell. The 99 and 01 just are not depreciating as quickly as normal. Dont worry so much about if its abused, becuase as long as it was taken care of and there is nothing wrong with it then go for it. Because why else do you own a cobra but to have some freakin fun with! :nice:
Id like to know if anyone out there truly can baby their cobra and never light em up or pound through the gears every now and then hahah

Was the original owner a woman named Toni from Kansas? If so, that was a nice car. If I didn't have my car already, I would have bought it myself. I don't know the recent history, but props to a car with good mods.

P.S. The baby race seat she used to have in the back was kick ass.

Yes the first owner was a women from KC how did you know ? She is the one that did all the mods. The recent history seems very good no abuse just normal 2 and from work about a mile or so .. I guess I should be happy when i see it in person.. :nice:

What kind of RWHP can i expect to get with the mods listed on first post? Its also has one of the Underdrive pullies upgraded but im not sure which one. I am hoping its close to 300 but then again I have no clue
