What are some good/safe adjustments that can be made on a stock V6 with the xcal2? For example the spark 0-2000, 2000-4000, 4000-8000 part, the fuel adjustment part etc. What if any changes has anyone made at this point with the tuner?

For instance is it better to +1 the timing or -1 the timing?

Purchase a tune from a professional tuner.

Like Greypony said make sure you get it from a pro tuner and make sure you ask them about safe ranges you can tune from them They all set up different things to make the tune different, if you mess with those you could do some damamge.
