The chin spoiler on the 03/04 Cobra bumper is actually a more flexible rubberlike material. The roads you guys drive on must be brutal because I almost never scrape and mine still looks new after 8+ months.

Mine would be pretty much fine...I just happen to run up on 9 inch wide 18 wheeler tires and 40# tarps that are setting DEAD in the center of the highway only at night time, durring the 2% of the time that my eyes arent on the road .
I want an 03-04 bumber...but if had had it, it would have been DESTROYED by the tire and beat up by the tarp.

Just to give you a perspective with the tire...it hit the pipes so hard that it MOVED my drivers side turbo up about a 1/2-3/4 inch No dents mind you but a crap ton of rubber to clean off....it also jared loose my drivers side rear ABS sensor (which made my ABS light come on after leaving MPH and my breaks feel weird before then...talk about being worried when you 1000 miles from home). Yea bye bye bumper

Im really surprised that people actually paint those things being that they are flimsy as hell. Its just waiting to chip paint.

Well that's the thing, people generally DON'T paint these things for that reason. They are hell to take care of. hehe but to me, it's DIFFERENT and sets the car off just a little bit in the front

Jeebus. 900 bucks for a front bumper. Is the paint scheme a wallpapering of 20 dollar bills? What makes it worth so much?

Did you read my estimation of cost above? That's why it's about a grand.

I know it is just your estimation but really I wouldn't be surprised if it is that much.

I paid about $450 for my front bumper from Blue Oval industries, and it came with everything including chin spoiler, pony, foglights and brackets. Unfortunately, I believe they have been discontinued.

Yea, there are a few on ebay that do this. but the thing that scares me about it is the issue of fitment. These are aftermarket bumper covers, not Ford OEM.

Very easy, just a few screws on the inside of the wheel well and it comes right off.

There are some individuals who have put the Mach1 chin spoiler on the Cobra bumper cover. IMHO its ugly but some people like it. There are pics somewhere on SVTP of it.
