Goodyear F1's on 2012 GT

I picked up my new 2012 GT the other day and expected it to come from the factory with Pirelli P Zero's but when I got home and took a look at the tires I noticed they were Goodyear F1's. Has anyone had experience with these tires on their GT. I was just wondering what to expect as far as wear, etc.

I had Eagle GT's which are the step down from the F1's and I friggin loved them. they do have a high wear rating for a good reason. My buddy has F1's on his GT rt now and keeps trying to make me get them. You just have to realize they arent an economy tire. unless you dont push your car. Other than that. A great tire to have. Better than the Pzeros in my mind. But Ill be getting continental DWS tires fairly soon. cus the F1's will cost me over 1K to get and the Eagle gts just over 900 at Americas Tire

Thanks...that's the kind of info I was looking for. Did the F1s come on your friend's car from the factory?

No his came with stock Pirellis. He didnt like them. So he got the F1s and loves them. theyre pretty expensive tires man.

I guess I got lucky with the F1s. I have looked around and "pretty expensive" is putting it mildly.

I believe if you look at the chart for the best tires that mustangs should have. then the continental dws. the pirellis were at the bottom of the list. so you did get a great deal wit those tires.

I believe it is on americastire.com, my dad brought it up one day and it showed the continentals on the top for wht type of driving I do. the daily driver who still wants performance.
