Got a new toy dirt bike fans. Pics. Other misc pics too.

Well, here she is. No, that aint no 125, or 250 For those of you that don't know, it's a '91 CR500. It's a 500cc 2 stroke in the same chassis as a 125 or 250. It's bored .020" over, ported, shaved head, and FMF Gnarly pipe. They're advertised at 61hp stock, so figure about 70 now, with close to that much torque, in a 224 lb bike. Just plain dangerous, but lots of fun. It's geared for about 100mph now, but will pull to faster than you want to go on a dirt bike if it was geared up more. It easily does 5 gear rolling burnouts on dry pavement without using the front brake.

I built a burnout pit for an open house at work (Harley dealership) and here's a couple pics from that. I don't have any pics from my burnouts cause I was the one taking pics, but I have some of the aftermath.
The 500. It was with a street tire though.

What my street bike did to the back board HAHA!. (Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic) It lit up about halfway through the burnout. A lot of people got cell phone vids, but no pictures of it on fire during the burnout. I kept going till the tire blew, but my back started getting a little hot.

Our bikes afterwards. I did 2 tires with my Buell. One had steel chords that bent my license plate, chipped my paint and ripped my seat haha.

The guy with no helmet on.. No gear = squidliness.. Its a term riders use for people who do unsafe things on bikes and ride w/o any protective gear. The blowing the cords out can also be considered squidly..

Gotcha. I'm just a youngin, must not know all the terms I'm with ya though, I hate seeing people ride without gear. I won't ride more than 20 feet, street or dirt without a helmet, long sleeves, good pants, boots and gloves. I will admit I was helmetless during the burnouts, but wasn't expecting to crash too bad going 0mph.

Yeah I ride. And the burn out without gear is squidly because it was done for pure attention matter and 2 he could of been hurt by a belt from the tire that blew and hit his seat.

Well he said it was for an open house at the dealership he works at and was on a closed course, not public roads or anything. Give him a break.

by the way nice cr man, i love riding bikes i used to own a kx 125 pro curcit fatt and shorrty silencer boycen reeeds, wisceo piston etc, lvoed that thing but i traded it for my stang and i love that more hah...

Well taking a bath is dangerous! Driving your car is dangerous... Honestly, who really cares what is dangerous or not? If you are concerned about that fine, but it is apparent that those who do dangerous things know they are dangerous and continue to do that. Therefore, let them enjoy them and you enjoy wearing a helmet to take a piss.

BTW, love the bikes.. Wish I still had mine, but it was a good trade off for a SC....
