Well I just received my Vortech V3 Si-trim after so long of wanting one. In about two weeks I'll begin with the install. Can wait!

Awesome! FI is the single most exciting mod you can get. Enjoy! Are you getting a cooler with that?

You going to use a SVT Focus Pump?? Here is some good advice...ditch the plastic diverter and spend $100.00 on a Stratmosphere Audi/VW diverter, it is "plug and play".

I bought it at the shop that is doing all the work. $2499 for a V3 Si tuner kit. Also got the focus fuel pump, #42 injectors, lighting maf and afm power pipe. The car is an 04 gt auto with 410's, 3000 rpm converter, accufab plenum and tb, slp long tubes, magnaflow x pipe and cat back...etc

Very nice setup! I hope you have some SFC's and enough rubber to hook all that new found power.

What is the diverter? Got any pics? Also why is it better?

I guess some people call it a Bypass, Ricers call it a Blow off valve. The on from Vortech is a POS. The one from Stratmosphere is a aluminum, rebuildable unit.

Behold:

bypass valve "re-circulated back into the non-pressurized end of the intake"
blow-off valve "releases the air into the atmosphere"

they are two different parts....

Most stock turbo cars run bypass valves and same goes for root style superchangers. The reason people run blow off valves on turbo or centrifugal superchargers is to avoid compresser surge @ high boost levels.

I have an 04 Mustang GT also that was just supercharged with the same basic setup. I don't have long tube headers but I do have a Comp 262AH cam, but otherwise the cars are close.

I took it to the track last Saturday (Fords at Englishtown) to shake it down.
After 3 runs I was putting down 1.68 sec 60' times. With these blowers the car is pretty easy to launch. I use to launch (pre-blower days) at 5500 rpms. Now I launch at about 4200 rpms. The car leaves just as hard with no spinning from the M/T ET Street Radials, but there's no more bogging! I am however getting some wheelspin on the first to second and second to third shifts now.

On the street the car is just as docile as ever until I plant my right foot in it at about 4000 rpms ...

You're going to love it!

What are your numbers?

OP: What numbers are you shooting for? Anything done to your internals? I'm seriously considering doing the charger in the spring.

I made 416rwhp/373rwtq.

Since I last posted I ran a couple more times.

My best time is now 12.10 at 115MPH.
