I have gone down and check all the possible surge problems. I ran the codes and got nothing well I got code 11. the car starts fine idles fine but once you drive it around it has what feels like a lean surge at anything less than 2000 rpm. I checked for vaccm leaks and fuel pressure. I got about 16 for vaccum and 40psi vac off for fuel pressure. Changed plugs...the usual.
The car is an 86 gt that I just converted to mass air. Tha motor is ALL sotck 86 gt e6 heads, 55mm throttle body, sd cam. The only thing different is I have a MSD digital 6, and blaster coil on it. I took it off to see if it helped but it did not make any difference. I am only running this engine for now, have a turbo motor form my old car that I paln to put in this one but don't want to do it till I get this cleared up. In case it a computer or wiring problem. Don't want to try and chase this problem while tuning that motor. Any ideas?
