Ok here is my problem, the cops in my area keep giving me loud exhaust tickets and i did not care but one checked under my under the car. i had to put my stock H-pipe back on or face a 1000 dollar fine and could have my car towed, with the stock h-pipe in I lost that deep flowmaster sound and power I need some options to get it back. any sugestions would be a great help. New Jersy f**kin sucks for muscle cars. :damnit:

you can buy an aftermarket pipe with highflow cats, or buy the highflow cats themselves and weld them into your offroad pipe, and that would probably make it sound better

your making me cringe at the thought of even getting caught. I'd rather get a speeding ticket than an exhaust ticket.

i tried to get cats installed on the off road h-pipe but they cant fit the cat on the driver side, i was thinking of buying the BBK long tube headers and and short h-pipe with cats.

maybe have your muffler shop rig up cats on it. just look-a-likes, the heat sheilds from old cats or something. if it is just a visual, you may get by with something like this.

sucks for that fine and old h-pipe going on

Thats a good way to piss away $400.

Keep your offroad h pipe and rig up cat heat shields to your H pipe and make it look like a cat. Or just keep the o/r pipe on as is and fugg what cops say. If your driving normal they shouldn't bother you.

i get pulled over just for how loud the exhaust is, in souith jersey most towns have a ticket ord just for this, i will look in to the heat shield idea i have better places on the car to $400 in to.

if you rig up a fake cat solution (gut the cats or weld on heat shields), won't you just keep getting pulled over? If you are OK with that then go that route I guess.

If not, maybe you should think more about the LT with shorty H and high flow cats. The after market cats have only 2 cats (not 4 like stock). Also, I have heard plenty of people say they like that sound quite a bit. I can't speak from experience yet. Hopefully later this summer I will go that way along with some other major upgrades.

Damn... Sorry to hear that dude. I've had my o/r H since last December and have driven past so many cops. One time I was even next to a cop at a stop light. I guess Northern VA is just different. They crack down on ricers a lot and I've never heard of them pulling over american cars.

But still, I'm scared everytime I go on the road. $1,000 fine is no joke.

I'm in Jersey but the cops don't bother me and I had my X-Pipe on for more than a year. I don't really drive like an idiot through town as to not attract to much attention because my car is pretty loud. Around my parts as long as you are driving normal and not trying to make it loud intentionally and show off they don't care.

My Bassani x-pipe with hi-flow cats is still loud, I had a BBK offroad pipe before that. The cats eliminated the drone I had on the highway.

Winner!

This is the real fix for your problem.

There are thousands and thousands of people around without cats on their cars and not getting pulled over "all the time." Change your driving habits and you will not attract as much attention. Attention = tickets.

it has nothing to due with my driving habits its just my car stands out and gets noticed more due to graphics. each time i was pulled over it was just due to the car being loud, i wasnt speeding and got a loud exhaust as a brake.
