Got caught by cops without cats

Why don't you look at putting the stock h-pipe back on, and running a SLP loudmouth setup on your car, this way you still have cats, but when you get on the gas its still almost as loud as the setup you have now. My buddy has it on his 01 bullitt, and its quiet at cruise, but when he stands on it, it realy picks up.

I think so too

Money route: I second the longtubes w/ a catted X or H pipe.

Cheap route: Weld heat shields from your stock H pipe onto your offroad pipe.

You might also want to think about investing in some new mufflers. Maybe Warlocks...you could uncap them when you want to be loud and quiet them down alot for the drive to your girls house...
