SWEET!!!

The car is off and running with the five speed. Truly the one most significant change I can possibly think of to change the personality of a cars drivability. Yes, engines are big, rear gear changes will bring smiles to your faces, and obviously painting will bound to make the masses happy..... but finally getting to dump the automatic for the ability to row my gears once again is a joy I can't compare to.

And it lasted all of about 15 minutes.......

I blew the upper radiator hose and dumped the whole cooling system on the road and my windshield. Bummer. Luckily we duct taped the hose and scored some water roadside to be able to limp her home.

Replaced the hose the next day and she's ready to rock.

I'm still waiting for my shifter ball (well over a week now) from Sacremento Mustang.... so shifting is kind of painfull on the fingers.

The car just feels so more alive..... I'm one happy camper.... :)

Congrats CC,

I am just behind you. Unfortunately I didn't get to work on the car this weekend. I am guessing you figured out your neutral safety switch question. You get your reverse lights to work as well?

Actually I was so anxious to drive it I didn't bother with the reverse light wiring just yet. I'll get to that eventually. I have to run the neutral safety switch wires to a toggle yet also. Lots of little things to button up. I just wanted to get it out and drive it. It was on stands for a month and I got work around the house to do. So I put off a few of the details for a moment to make the wife happy.

Nothing fancy on the handle... just a billet aluminum style.

I went with the B&M Pro Ripper. I got long arms... so I can reach just fine. It does have a piece that bolts between the shifter arm and the threaded post. So If I feel like it... I could get another, longer, version of that made up.
