Even with the car stock a good dyno tune will net around 230 and 270 TQ...

2/12" O/R X-pipe
2/12" Flowmaster Catback
Predator with performance 93 octane tune installed
180* Termo

Can someone explain to me why many of these printout are done in a way that make them somewhat useless. You do get max torque and max HP. On any dyno run where the rpm goes past 5252 the torque and HP will cross at that RPM This printout show it at about 4600. Why you should care about the scaling is if it is done correctly you can work out your shift points before you go to the track.

not out of the ordinary??? his dyno shows he is making more torque then me. that would be no big deal if we had the same mods.

however, i have l/t headers, cams, and ported heads. Those are the big n/a power mods. if you think you gained with a little bit of exhaust work and a cai, try a set of cams and l/t. you car will feel like a different animal whatever the dyno numbers show. you will feel a real difference in hp.

i know engines can vary a bit , but i picked up a dyno proven 45rwhp with the heads, cams, and l/t. i was dynoed before and after on the same dyno. this was on top of my gains from midpipe, cai, catback, and plenum and t/b.

somehow your saying its odinary that he is making more tq and only 20 less hp then me without doing any of the major power mods? engines dont vary that much.

his torque is way off too. when i had his same mods minus the pullies i was dynoed at 280rwtq! thats a 32 rwtq difference!!!!

those numbers sound about right. I had about the same mods as him and dynoed 232 and 274rwtq but i had teh xpipe and throttle body and plenum. I hate 2v mustangs. Im so mad at mine now im praying for someone to hit it and total it so i have a reason to get a cobra. ive spent so much money into it and its maybe and i mean maybe gotten .3 secs faster in a 1/4. Its a slug

Cold Air Intake. Nothing wrong with asking questions, that's the best way to learn.

+1!!!!!!! Now if he had LTs, then I could see his #s...but with mild bolton I think thats about 15HP off. But his track times of 13.9 @ 102 are about right with his mods...thats about 250RWHP or so.
I ran a 13.5 @ 101.3 with a 20MPH headwind @ a sea LV track....and I had 248RWHP with every bolton but LTs. (crappy tune though) So yea I say hes in the 25X range in reality....but like someone already said, every dyno is different.

judging by the times there id say the same as hotmustang. your in the 250rwhp zone. but man if thats really the tq that you have thats insane.

I have to kinda agree with some of you. Based on some of the other numbers I've seen on this board, it does seem high. But like i said before, the car was real cool and it was only one run.

BUt I also don't mind showing the dyno sheet.

I should be going back soon to get it dyno tuned this time. I will post the new sheet when i do. Gonna be adding mid length headers before though. Should be interesting.

Their's nothing wrong with the Diablosport tuner. The Excal 2 is newer and has a couple more functions, but they both perform most all the same things. I've found people that put down some handheld tuners are the ones blindly tuning them in their garage and then wonder why their Mustang runs like crap.

The reason you want to go with SCTs tuner over say diablesport and especially hypertech, is that there are MANY more dyno tuners out there that use SCT software vs diablesport. Hypertech has almost no dyno tuners that use their software from what I hear LOL.

yea i havent heard of any hypertech.

And there is nothing wrong with diablo. Ive got it and it works great i do wish i got teh xcal 2 though for one reason only. I want tim at MPH to tune my car. It all depends on what the tuner in your area uses.
