Hey guys,

I went and purchased the 83 GT Vert! I love it. I will take some pics as soon as I clean it

It is rust free
76000 Original miles
1000 miles in the past 10 years

A couple of small issues I am hoping you guys can help with.

When its starts up in the morning, it fires right up! After I drive it, and let it sit for an hour or so, it starts very hard. Roll's over slowly, and eventually will fire, then runs great.

When I first start driving, the oil pressure is right at the "R" in "Normal" on the gauge. Once I get to 55 after about 10 minutes, it fades to the left side of the "N".

I did change the oil right away when I bought it, cause the original owners had not done it in a couple years.

Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!

-Aaron

Try retarding your timing alittle...mine does the same thing because I have it advanced. Could it be the battery?

battery cables can make for a hard start, alos the starter. Those big ole starters can get rusty and when they get hot become hard to move. I switched my Capri to the mini starter.... no problems now...

Sounds good, I will check out the charging system. Any ideas on the oil pressure?

Sorry man! Once I am out of work I will snap some better pics. Heading out after work to buy a mechanical gauge, and tossing that in. Anyone think it could be oil pump? As for the starting issue when its warm, how about a starter?

Crappy BlackBerry pics.....
