Granada Power Steering in a '69 Mustang - o-ring, flare fitting help needed...

I have recently been investigating some problems I have had with my rebuilt steering system and it turns out that I have a ram and valve from a Granada. The hoses from the Mustang are flare type seals and the Granada parts are O-ring type seals. I do have a Mustang pump and the correct power steering gear.

The system had worked properly in the past so I am wondering what (if any) hoses will work with this setup (Granada valve, ram and Mustang pump). I know that if I can get a hold of Granada ram to valve hoses that they will work since they are from the same setup but what do I do from the pump to the valve? Does anyone know if the Granada lines have the same pump connection as Mustang? Any suggestions?

The easiest solution would be just finding the right adapter to convert the Mustang pumps's male fitting to the Granada lines female fitting
If the Granada hoses don't have the ends that you need and you can't find an adapter, you can probably find a local shop to make you a custom hose to work. They can most likely take the Granada line and crimp the end you need onto it. There are a couple NAPA stores in my area that make hoses. (Not all can do it) You might try checking with a NAPA in your area.

Well I finally got the my Mustang/Granada steering system back and the guy bought the correct valve to ram hoses (w/ o-rings) and a pressure hose for a granada. After looking at it, there is no way the pressure hose will work on the Mustang. It has a very long length of bent tube at the front that makes it impossible to either hook it to the front Mustang hose or hook it directly to the pump. I think it must have had an oil cooler or something on the Granada...

Anyway, I can make the Mustang hoses work if I can find the right connectors... I need a male 3/8" o-ring to a female 3/8" flare (pressure line) and a male 1/2" o-ring to a female 1/2" flare (return line). If I can get these, I can use the stock Mustang lines. I sent an email to Aeroquip but I don't think they have anything like this.

Other ideas include using copper washers under the flare to seal it to the seat, using power steering stop leak to close up the leak from the mismatched fittings, use silicone sealer on the fittings...

Does anyone have any other suggestions? I have tried NAPA, etc and all they work on uses flare fittings - they can't make o-ring flanges.
