Anyone have one of these walnut Grant Wheels?
What do you think of it? Quality? Comfort? Durability?

that's a nice-looking wheel. I have a smaller Grant GT with leather wrap sitting in my garage from when I had my first 67. That wheel is a POS (not the greatest, quality-wise) and never fit quite right. I don't know if I got the wrong adapter, but I bought the one that said "fits 1967 Mustang" on the box. I installed the wheel on the 67 I have now, and it doesn't fit this car either.

I'm probably going to get a LeCarra next.

Santa dropped off that wheel to me on Saturday. I'll let you know how installation goes. Looks straight forward in looking at the instructions.

FYI - Johns Mustang in Texas will take your old wheel remove the plastic and replace it with walnut for around $150. They quote a 3 week turn around. Don't know the quality, but it should be nice, and you know it will fit nice because they use the original wheel.

I have one. Has lasted 6 years so far. The horn internals seemed a little suspect when I installed it, but they have lasted.

After a while on humid cool days you will get condensation on the wheel and all the gruel built up will come off on your hands. It's harder to clean wood than plastic. Overall, I am happy with it.

Anybody who has ever installed one of those smaller diameter wheels can see where the engineers were working, cuz those smaller ones do a great job of blocking the view to all the gauges. Drove mine back from Cali that way and it was damn annoying.
